Neatly hand-written, with some diagrams, in red and blue ink, on lined paper, with some stamps of the Orderly Room Hythe; 105pp.
The School of Musketry was formed at Hythe in 1853 and produced some of the Army's best marksmen as well as instructors who were sent to different regiments. This is a good record of a detailed course. The recruit could have been destined for the Western front as a sniper. Presumably the stamps were to endorse that the notes were correctly recorded.
